Pay for time.
Not tokens.

Most AI tools bill you against a moving target — model tier, token count, tool calls, context size — so you only learn the price after the work is done. TaskGoblin bills the seconds a goblin actually works, at a flat per-minute rate you can forecast. $0.40 a minute is about $24 an hour: a fraction of an engineer, except the goblins work in parallel, overnight, on demand.

How the meter runs

Metered per second

The clock starts when a goblin starts working and stops when it stops. Time is measured to the second and charged at the per-minute rate, so a 90-second run costs 90 seconds of work.

No minimums, no monthly fee

No per-run charge, no rounding up to the next minute, nothing to subscribe to. Queueing and idle time are never billed — you pay for working time and nothing else.

$100 of credits to start

Every new organisation is granted $100 in evaluation credits, once, with no card on file. That is around four hours of agent time to make up your mind with.

Top up when it suits you

Buy more credits by card whenever you like. Automatic top-up is available and switched off by default — turn it on, pick the threshold and the amount, and the balance refills itself.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is billed?

The active working time of a run — from the moment a goblin picks the task up to the moment it finishes, fails, or is stopped. Waiting in a queue, sitting idle, and the time you spend reading the result are not billed.

What does a typical task cost?

Most tasks take somewhere between two and ten minutes of agent time — roughly $1 to $4 at the standard rate, and less on your own LLM account. Goblins work in parallel, so ten tasks handed over at once cost the same as ten tasks handed over one at a time.

What happens when my balance runs out?

A run already underway finishes; new runs wait until you top up, and everything resumes the moment credits land. Turn on automatic top-up and the balance refills before it ever gets there.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits sit on your organisation's balance until the goblins use them — there is no monthly reset and nothing to lose by buying ahead.

Can I bring only my own sandbox server?

You can register one, but it is used only for runs on your own LLM account — we never put our provider credentials on infrastructure you control. Without a bring-your-own LLM account those runs stay on our infrastructure at $0.40 a minute.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Every new organisation starts with $100 in free evaluation credits. Add a card when you want to keep going.
